Aeration pulls plugs out of the ground, breaking up the compacted soil. This process allows water, oxygen, and other nutrients into the soil, aiding in root growth. At Colonial, we apply only the best seed, that has been tested and recommended for the Richmond, VA area.

We also strongly recommend a starter fertilizer to finish off the aeration and seeding process. This fertilizer application will deliver much needed nutrients to help the seeds grow to maturity, while also feeding your existing lawn.
